It was 2 o'clock in the morning when i heard somebody knocking on my door....i was struck with fear as i was alone in my room.my roomate had left for her hometown.Unfortunately there was no electricity so i grabbed my torchlight and walked towards the door.When i opened the door there was nobody there.i was frightened and all i could think about was the horrid images of the zombies and ghosts from the horror movies.
I closed the door and went back to bed.I dont know why but i could'nt sleep at all.I had this feeling like something evil was lurking in the air.All of a sudden i heard strange noises coming from the other room.I heard the shattering of glass on the floor and after that there was dead silence.
I was so terrified and could not even call for help as my phone battery was dead.Then i heard the door of the other room open and someone slammed it shut.All i could hear was footsteps which stopped just in front of my room.My heart started beating at an alarming rate and i froze with fear.There was a knock at my door.
I covered myself with my blanket and started praying.Someone started banging the door from outside and i could'nt help but cry.A sharp female voice shouted ''LET ME IN!'' I started sweating because the voices would'nt stop.I wished that all of these were just a nightmare but no...it was real...it was really happening...i was being haunted!!!
It started raining all of a sudden accompanied by thunder and lightning.The wind was blowing very fiercely.I glanced at my watch and it was 3 o'clock in the morning.The shouting and banging had finally stopped.But i could hear someone whistling in my room.Slowly i started looking for my torch underneath my blanket but could'nt find it.
Then someone whispered in my ear saying ''you will die''.I could not utter a single word.The skies roared and there was lightning which was so bright that i could see the apparition standing near my bed.It was a horrible sight....a demonic sight...I could not take it anymore.i shouted till my throat started paining NOOO !! I gathered all my guts and ran for the door.I struggled with the doorknob but at last succeeded in opening it.
I ran towards the wardens room.After knocking for a long time the warden finally opened the door.She was shocked to see me at this hour and in such a miserable condition.I narrated the entire incident to her.By then the entire hostel was awake.Everyone gathered in the main hallway.We went towards my room but there was nothing spooky there.I told my warden that i had heard some strange noises coming from the next room.
The other room was locked from inside.When the watchman broke open the door we were horrified by the sight of a girl who had committed suicide by choking herself to death.We all came to know that it was the spirit who had caused me problems.I was sppechless but we all prayed for her soul and gave her a proper burial that very night after informing her parents.
After that night nothing evil or spooky happened but i still get goosebumps when i think about it.It was a very bad experience and started having nightmares almost every night...
