RAIN - A BLESSING FOR CHICKENS
Sancharimala was a village which was more or less like a desert. It didn't receive rain for past five years. The villagers were highly worried since they had to walk miles to fetch water.Village authorities went to a famous Swami and told the problem the village was facing. Swami told the village was under fervent curse and asked them to sacrifice maximum white chickens in the name of God in order to remove curse.Village authorities met Shanker, who was the only owner of chicken poultry yard in that area. They asked him to sacrifice his white chicken in God's name. Shanker was so sad since it was his only means to meet both ends of life and he didn't want to kill his chickens. He prayed to God to shower the blessings to his village in the form of rain. The next day, chickens where transferred in red wheeled barrow from poultry yard to sacrificing platform.Suddenly it started to rain. All the chickens were taken back to poultry yard. Shanker and chickens were happy for the rain which saved their lives.
