Highway is a Hindi movie written and directed by Imtiaz Ali. The movie is all about the problems faced by a women not only in the society but also in her family. We are taught to be careful about the society and to keep ourselves away from the deluding relationships. This movie clearly depicts the fate of a women. Women are not even protected in their family. We assume family to be a very safe zone. We are given more freedom in our home in every aspects. The central character in this movie is from a high class family. She pretends to be happy and normal in front of others but deep inside she is dying. She share her bad experience with her mother but she insists her to be quite. She finds her home to be a jail. Because she is not allowed to take her own decisions. She does not have a voice in her family. But when she was kidnapped she tried to enjoy her life and does not want to go back to her home. Women are not only mistreated in the society but also in the family. If we respect women in the family then the society will recognize women and will definitely respect her.
